Prestatyn
Looking east to west across Prestatyn Beach

In summer the beach is a popular attrraction for holiday makers so is best avoided during the day. Fishes best for smooth hound and ray at LW. Bass fishing is best on an incoming tide and better still if HW occurs after darkness. Winter evening after dark will see you catching mainly whiting with occasional codling.

Kinmel Bay

Abergele & Pensarn

Kinmel Bay can be fished over high and or low water. Spring/summer/autumn will see bass high on many anglers wish list, and at Kinmel Bay you will have a good chance of getting your wish granted. A steep shingle beach gives way to sandy gullies where the bass like to feed.An onshore breeze to put some life in the water,is best to get the fish on the feed. The layout of the beach is ever changing,so be aware of the gullies if fishing from low water.

Splash Point (Rhyl)

Splash Point (Rhyl)

Splash Point is a popular fishing mark located on the east side of Rhyl. It offers nice comfortable fishing from the prom over the HW period but can also be fished over the LW period off the beach.
If fishing from LW you'll be kept busy as the once the flood tide picks up it will chase you up the very flat beach!

WARNING : The promenade and beach arround Splash Point is undergoing major sea defence works. Have a back up mark planned incase the works mean you can't get access fish.

Llandudno

Llandudno wall looking to the pier

Llandudno offers three marks all very close together:
North Shore
With a steepish shingle bank at the high water which gives way to cleaner sandy ground towards LW. It's traditional beach fishing which offers a wide range of species.
Pier
Gives access to deeper water and offers a wide range of species. Although it offers a comfortable platform to fish from space is limited. Take a drop net if targeting husss, conger or hounds.
The Wall
Another comfortable mark which is quite well sheltered from all but easterly winds. Even then it's height above the water means it's still a safe spot. Only downside the ground your fishing onto is pretty rough.

Pensarn & Abergele

Abergele & Pensarn

A flat sandy beach with a steep shingle bank at the high water. A great mark over HW as you can park on top of the shingle bank and almost fish from the car. Low water requires a fairly long walk and the beach has many gulleys which can fill behind you
as the tide begins to flood. Be aware of this.
