Abersoch Warren Beach

Description

A sandy beach with a small river estuary at its western (town) end. Once again a very busy location in the height of summer.

Best Bait

For bass crab, lug, razor fish or sand eel, flounder and sole best on worm lug worm or rag worm, turbot take sand eel, while mackerel, squid and sand eel are best for dogfish and whiting.

Summer Species

Bass, mackerel, dogfish turbot, sole and flounder

Winter Species

Whiting, dogfish and dabs

Tackle & Tactics

Standard beach gear weights 150g - 170g. Best avoided on hot summer days when the beach is invaded by holiday makers. Spring, autumn and at night are the best times to find some peace and quite not to mention a parking space.

Directions

Follow the A449 from Pwllheli as you round the headland from Llanbedrog you can choose to park and fish anywhere along the road leading into Abersoch.
