Glan Morfa Mawr Trout Fishery
(see map) at Morfa Bychan just outside Porthmadog, Glan Morfa Trout Fishery is an any method venue. It is well stocked with Rainbow Trout from 1lb upwards into double figures, best fish to date - 16 lbs 9 oz and the best bag 29 lb 12 oz. The 5 acre lake is stocked daily with top quality Rainbow Trout and set in beautiful countyside.

Trout Fishing - River

All rivers in the area have brown trout fishing although the average size of wild fish is small at around 6 inches with only the occasional larger fish. If you like fishing for natural wild brownies on traditional flies then the rivers can provide excellent day time sport.

The top end of the River Dwyfor can produce good sport for the brown trout.
