Salmon, Sea Trout

River Dwyfor

This is our local river less than 2 miles from the shop and we think the best little river in North Wales.

The majority of the Dwyfor is controlled by the Criccieth, Llanystumdwy and Distict Angling Association who allow day and weekly tickets to visitors. Permits are available exclusively through the shop.

The average yearly catch on the Dwyfor is  2000 to 3000 sea trout and between 30 to 40 salmon.

In addition to the Dwyfor there are 2 further rivers, The Glaslyn and The Dwyryd which produce good numbers of fish each season and should not be overlooked.

River Glaslyn

The River Glaslyn is controlled by Glaslyn Angling Association. It controls virtually the whole length of the river from the sluice gates in Porthmadog right up to Beddgelert. The association issue day, weekly and season tickets which are available from Pikes Newsagents, High Street Porthmadog and from Tackle and Guns, Penrhyndeudraeth Tel 01766 770339.

River Dwyryd

There are day tickets available for The Cambrian Angling Association water's on the River Dwyryd. The Dwyryd runs down the Vale of Ffestiniog and joins the River Glaslyn at Borth-y-Gest. Ticket available through F. W Roberts, 32 Church Street, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, LL41 3HD. Tel: 01766 830607
